Voltage Transformer VTs are designed to be encapsulated in epoxy resin under temperature & very high level vacuum. This results in excellent electrical and mechanical properties. The non ageing property of epoxy resin ensures long life of the product. VTs are integrally moulded and can be mounted in any position.They are not effected by chemicals, solvent or corrosive atmosphere. The epoxy surface has excellent resistance against tracking. VTs are made with Low Loss, non-ageing type CRGO steel cores to give the best accuracy and other related requirements. Primary winding is designed in multi-layer with suitable paper insulation between each layer so that high strength is achieved against over voltages and impulse voltages. The primary and the secondary windings are impregnated with a low viscosity resin so that the coil becomes robust and free partial discharges. This ensures long life of the VTs.
